Surgical / Clinical Physician Assistant - Colon and Rectal Surgery Associates, Ltd. (CRSAL), an independent, privately held specialty surgical practice, currently has a full time Physician Assistant opportunity.

Location:

This is a float PA position which would work at our clinic and hospital locations throughout the Twin Cities Metropolitan area and affiliated hospitals.  Locations include Edina, Minneapolis, St. Paul and Coon Rapids.  

Primarily daytime hours (Mon. - Fri.)

No evening call. Minimal weekend call coverage (1-2 times annually)

Primary Medical Assistant Duties: 

This Physician Assistant position focuses on Colorectal Care and works directly with our providers. Once trained, the position will include direct care of patients via independent PA clinics in addition to coordinating care with the physician or other specialist. The individual hired will be trained in providing both clinical care, assisting in surgical cases and hospital rounding.

Qualifications for the Physician Assistant Position

  • Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant program
  • Current registration as a licensed PA-C with the state of Minnesota (or ability to obtain a MN license)
  • National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) as well as the Physician Assistant national certifying examination (PANCE)
  • BLS/CPR Certified
  • Superior communication skills, detailed oriented, excellent direct patient care skills, and ability to remain professional, upbeat and positive in busy clinic/hospital environments.
  • Independent decision making and strong judgment regarding patient care and consulting with the provider.
  • Ability to effectively speak, read, write, understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Must be willing to travel to all clinic / hospital locations as needed
  • Experience with NextGen EHR a plus

This clinic based position requires a background check and tuberculosis screening.
