Average Risk Standard Screening RecommendationsBeginning at age 50, recommended fecal occult blood test every year and a flexible sigmoidoscopy every 5 years.
Alternative Screening RecommendationsBeginning at age 50, recommended double contrast barium enema every 5-10 years or a colonoscopy every 10 years. Please discuss screening options with your physician. Together you will decide on a screening program that is right for you.
